Where is artisan in sketchup4/20/2024 ![]() ![]() The first thing you'll notice is the toolbar. It is a complete re-work with a glut of new features added to turn SketchUp into a true organic modeling application. Would there be any interest in.or maybe there already exists and I haven't found it. Shop Artisan for SketchUp Overview Artisan is the result of over two years hard work and is more than just a refined update of it's predecessor Subdivide and Smooth (SDS). I have built a few fittings.not many but a few.that could be re-used by other Sketchup 'stillers here. No need for anyone else to rebuild stuff others have already built. There is value in a common library of Sketchup components (fittings etc) that we could share amongst our members. Although the subdivision tools were included as part of the previous generation 'Subdivide and Smooth' plugin, they have all been greatly improved in ' Artisan 4 Sketchup '. It is one of the only SketchUp plugins to use an automatic installer for seamless installation. there are not many copper pipe and fitting libraries out there for Sketchup. Artisan 4 SketchUp plugin, works with SketchUp 7 and above for both PC and Mac. Unfortunately.at least in my initial searches. I think this is a super tool for illustrating ideas and intention.and the price is right! I spent the time this weekend and was really surprised how easy Sketchup once I had a real project. ![]() ![]() I finally had a real reason to focus on Sketchup! I had to reply with a similar drawing of MY ideas! Well.the real benefit from this disagreement is that is that once he dropped a Solidworks drawing on me depicting his minimalist design.(btw that had screws attaching the plywood through the ends! LOL) I am very much the opposite.this thing has gotta sit in my garage for DECADES.Once built, I don't want to ever f$#k with this thing should just work and never ever cause me grief! He is a minimalist (ie lazy ) when it comes to this type build. Our 2 very different mindsets clashed immediately! This past weekend my brewing partner and I decided we were gonna build a fermentation chamber for our 2 new Blichmann 15gal conicals. I downloaded Google Sketchup a LONG time ago with all good intentions of making some cool drawings.after all a picture is worth a thousand words right?Īfter 30-45 minutes watching the tutorials with no real project in mind.I my interest sorta petered out. ![]()
